Bridget Ziperstein

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...

I’m Bridget Ziperstein, an Occupational Therapist specialising in adult neurological rehabilitation.

I founded my practice in Johannesburg in 2011 to bridge the gap between hospital and home. My team and I work with adults navigating stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, spinal conditions, progressive neurological disorders, medical deconditioning and complex medical presentations.

We focus on what matters most — helping people regain their ability to participate meaningfully in daily life, with dignity and independence intact.

I have a particular interest in wheelchair seating, assistive device prescription, complex discharge planning, and reducing caregiver burden. My approach is holistic, patient-centred and functionally driven. I don’t just treat a diagnosis — I work with the whole person, their goals, their environment and their support system.

At every stage, my goal is the same: preserve dignity, maximise independence, and enhance quality of life.

I collaborate closely within multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care from acute and sub-acute settings through to outpatient and home-based rehabilitation.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...

I’m Mamosa, the main treating therapist at Synergy Centre — and I’m exactly where I want to be.

I’m a fun-loving Joburger who thrives in vibrant, motivated environments. I’m committed to excellence, passionate about healthcare, and driven by one thing: helping people live full, meaningful lives.

I love exploring — whether it’s new activities, places, people or ways to keep health and wellness exciting. I believe occupational therapy should be both focused and fun. Maximising someone’s ability to perform their roles doesn’t have to be serious all the time — some of the best progress happens with a few laughs along the way.

My approach is patient-centred, goal-driven, and grounded in the belief that therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, not a prescription.
