The Team
As an early childhood education administrator, I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where every child and family feels seen, heard, and supported. Working alongside Principal Sara, I ensure the school runs smoothly so teachers can teach, children can thrive, and families feel at home. From the front desk to the playground, my focus is on building genuine connections and helping our preschool shine from the inside out.
If you asked me 10½ years ago how many little ones would call me “Oupa,” I wouldn’t have known. Today, I feel like the most loved Oupa in Alberton! The words of E.G. White in Education remind us: “The Holy Scriptures are the perfect standard of truth - To obtain an education worthy of the name we must receive a knowledge of God (the Creator) and of Christ (the Redeemer) as they are revealed in the sacred Word.”
My love for cooking started at age six, when even childhood games turned into making food. Over time, this passion grew into a deep joy for preparing meals with care and love - especially for children. I take pride in creating food that not only tastes delicious but also lifts spirits, brings comfort, and encourages even picky eaters to enjoy. Cooking healthy, flavorful meals is my way of sharing happiness, and I’ve always known this passion would take me far.
My role as Head Cook is to prepare healthy, nourishing meals for children with love and care. Cooking is my passion - it’s a way to be creative, relieve stress, and show affection through food. In this position I’ve grown in skills, teamwork, and time management, and I take pride in making every meal both nutritious and enjoyable. I love my job and do it with confidence, pride, and calmness.
As the groundsman of our school, it is my responsibility to make sure that the gardens and play areas are in perfect shape for our children. Over the past 9 years I have watched not only our garden grow but our children too, and when they call for "Uncle Isaac", it always reminds me of what a blessing it is to work in this school.
As a baby class teacher, I believe every child deserves a joyful learning journey that nurtures their curiosity and encourages exploration. I create a warm, inclusive space where children feel safe to express themselves and discover the world through sensory-based activities. Building strong connections with each child and their family is key, ensuring they feel valued and supported. My goal is to spark a lifelong love of learning and help every child thrive.
I believe that although I am new to teaching, I am driven by passion, purpose, and confidence in my ability to make a positive impact. I strive to create a joyful, welcoming classroom where children learn through fun, play-based experiences such as games, music, stories, and hands-on activities. My goal is to inspire, support, and nurture every learner while growing into a compassionate, impactful, and dedicated educator who makes a lasting difference in children's lives.
Being a teacher's assistant is about more than helping in the classroom - it’s about supporting each child’s journey of growth and discovery. I value building genuine connections, celebrating their achievements, and learning alongside them. Inspired by the teachers I work with, I strive to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning in every child, knowing that when they feel valued and supported, they can achieve amazing things.
Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. It is a privilege to help shape young minds during some of the most important years of a child's life. My goal is to ensure that every child feels seen, heard, valued, and loved, creating an environment where they feel understood and supported to grow. One of the greatest lessons teaching has taught me is that even the smallest minds can teach the biggest lessons.
I believe that all children are unique individuals, and I strive to create a classroom environment that celebrates and nurtures their individual differences. I believe that by providing a variety of learning experiences, I can help each child reach their fullest potential.
As an educator, I am driven by a love for children and a passion for inspiring young minds. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to explore their curiosity and creativity. I believe learning should be playful, meaningful, and nurturing, supporting children's academic, social, and emotional growth. By fostering kindness, empathy, and confidence, I hope to help every child develop into a curious, compassionate, and capable individual.
As an Early Childhood Development teacher, my philosophy is to create a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels a sense of belonging. I believe children learn best through play, exploration, and involvement, and I strive to nurture independence and kindness. Partnering with families, I aim to lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning while planting seeds of confidence and resilience that will grow for years to come.
My teaching philosophy is to create a safe, supportive environment where children can explore, grow, and discover their strengths. As an assistant teacher, I believe in guiding rather than giving answers, providing tools and encouragement to help each child succeed. Building trust and nurturing every child’s potential is at the heart of my passion for teaching.
"Hearts First, Then Minds." I believe the toddler years are a magical window where love and learning go hand in hand. I’m passionate about creating a warm, nurturing space where little minds feel safe, seen, and supported, because when their hearts are full, their minds are ready to grow. Every giggle, question, and milestone matters, and I’m here to help them bloom.
As an educator, I believe learning is a lifelong journey that extends beyond the classroom. My philosophy is to create a nurturing environment where students feel safe, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential. I value empathy, inclusivity, and curiosity, and aim to make learning engaging while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Education shapes young minds not just academically, but personally, and my role is to guide, support, and inspire children to succeed in all aspects of life.
Teaching young children is a journey of discovery and joy. I create a safe and exciting environment where each child can explore, learn through play, and embrace their unique learning style. Fostering inquisitive minds, creativity, and confidence, I aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning and guide each child’s growth, one small moment at a time.
Being a preschool teacher is a dream come true! I love watching little minds and bodies grow, explore, and discover new things every day. Building strong relationships with children and their families is the heart of my work. Through play-based learning, I nurture their natural love of learning, creativity, and independence. It’s a joy to be part of their “firsts” and to help lay the foundation for their future success. Teaching is not just my job - it’s my passion.
